Charles W. Austin, 64, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Chuck was born on October 2, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan to George and Evelyn (Morgan) Austin. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Chuck was employed with Chrysler Toledo Machining for over 30 years where he served as a Committeeman with UAW Local 1435. He was a longtime member of the Van Wert Masonic Lodge #218. Chuck enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, camping, hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren at family gatherings. Chuck is survived by his wife Pamela; children, Audra Austin, Tim (Alena) Austin, Greg (Johanna) Austin, and Nicole (Nathan) Avery; step-children, Michael Currier, Eric Currier, and Richard (Sonya) Buford; 20 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gary (Diana) Austin, Marlene Draves, Richard Austin, and Ken (Marian) Austin; along with many loving family members and friends. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Angela Carlen; and siblings, Shirley Ball, Joan Young, and Gregory P. Austin. Private Funeral Services will be held.
