Charles E. "Chuck" Baker, 63, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. Anne Mercy Hospital. Chuck was born on April 27, 1953 to Eugene and Theresa (Cashen) Baker. Chuck graduated from Waite High School and shortly after married the love of his life, Toni (Leisenheimer) who preceded him in death. He worked at Jacobson's for 20 years until their close. Most recently he worked at Eastminster United Presbyterian Church. Chuck loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie, his "full leaded" Coca-Cola, playing euchre, Lionel trains, collecting bald eagle figurines, fixing anything and everything, and playing softball.
Chuck is survived by his daughters, Heather and Carrie Baker; brothers, Louis (Faye) Baker, Bob Baker, Joe (Kathy) Epker; sisters, Gerri (Ray) Grass, Ann Baker; aunt, Verna Forgach; sisters-in-law, Marty TenEyck, Molly (Tom) Buehler; a myriad of nieces, nephews, and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, Toni; mother, father, step-father, Raymond Epker; brothers, Ed and Steve Baker; and step-brother, George Leo Epker.
Friends and family may visit Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon, Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. Oregon, Ohio 43616 on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 1-8 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Pemberville Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Charles' name may be directed to Alzheimer's Association or Eastminster United Presbyterian Church.
