Charles R. Broshious, 88, of Oregon, OH passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2002 in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. Charles was born in Fremont, Ohio on October 26, 1914 to Samuel and Verna (Schultz) Broshious. He was an army veteran of World War II and worked as a painter and decorator for 30 years, belonging to the Painters Local Union and most recently worked as a gatekeeper with Fondessey Enterprises for 18 years.
Surviving are his sons Charles (Barb Hahler) Broshious, Samuel (Cecilia) Broshious, Jim (Sue) Broshious; daughter, Betty Rose (Donald) Knittle; sister, Emma (John) Ray; brother, Dale (Betty) Broshious; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and special
close friend, Marlene Zyla. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jaunita; brothers, Walter, William, Henry, Samuel and Donald; sisters, Aldis M. Brock and Mary Lou Scholl.
Visitation will be held in the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday, December 26, 2002 from 4 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 9:30 am on Saturday and proceed to St. Ignatius Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Entombment
will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
