Charles P. Burke, 81, of Toledo , passed away Tuesday, September 7th at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet , MN . He was born April 17, 1928, in Detroit , MI to Patrick and Effie J. (Brock) Burke. He was employed with Sun Oil as a pipefitter for 35 years, retiring in 1986. Charles is survived by his wife Jackie, children, Michael W. (Cheryl), Charles P. Jr. (Sandra), Kathleen A. (Alfonso) Ruiz, Daniel F., and Debra S. (Jim) Edmonson. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, sister Ruth Malloy and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Elmer Murdock and James Burke. Chuck was an avid Lake Erie fisherman and enjoyed spending winters in Florida and summers in Minnesota . His kindness and caring encompassed his family and friends, and his absence will always be felt. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 South Coy Road , Oregon , Ohio on Friday from 2-8pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 10am Saturday at the funeral home with interment to follow at Lake Township Cemetery . Memorials may be directed to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Heart Center .
