Charles C. Cashen, 75, of Toledo and formerly of Oregon passed away on Saturday September 16, 2006 in St. Charles Mercy Hospital.  He was a Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War.  Charlie had worked for many years in the Lucas County Recorder Office.  He also worked in the Water Department for the City of Oregon.  During his lifetime Mr. Cashen was very active in the Lucas County Democratic Party.  He was a member of St. Ignatius Church and the Oregon Volunteer Fire Department.  He was also a good friend of  Dr. Bob and Bill W.    Surviving are his son, John (Faye) Cashen; grandson, Trevor Cashen; sister, Theresa Epker and Verna Forgach.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Cashen.   Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, September 23, 2006 in St. Ignatius Church in Oregon.   There will be no visitation and interment will be private.
