Charles D. Crowder Jr., 58, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on March 15, 2016 at his home. He was born in Oregon, Ohio on November 10, 1957 to Charles and Katie (Bean) Crowder Sr. Charles was a U.S. Army and Marine Veteran who proudly served his country for 20 years before his retirement in 2000. He took great pride in being a member of the Marine Corp League as well as volunteering at the VA Hospital with wounded veterans. He also loved working on cars, fishing and being with his family. Charles is survived by his daughter, Amanda Crowder; sons, Charles Crowder III, Joseph Jankowski Jr., brother, Michael (Tracy) Crowder; sisters, Jane (Donald) McVicker, Linda Boras; brother-in-law, Robert Allen; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Crowder and sister, Brenda Allen. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 2-9 pm. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 12:00 pm. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Charles' name may be directed to the Crowder Family.
