Charles D. Hyndman, 87, of Northwood, Ohio passed away on June 1, 2017 at Aspen Grove. He was born in Dickson, Tennessee on July 6, 1929 to Darrell and Cecile (Hamrick). Charles is a Veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. He worked at LOF for over 40 years before retiring in 1988. Charles enjoyed Bluegrass and Gospel music and attended the Brinks Music Barn. Every year he and his wife liked to vacation in Tennessee and Cocoa Beach, Florida. He was an avid Detroit Tiger Fan and was a long-time member of Echo Meadows Church of Christ.
Charles is survived by his children, Cindy (Goldie) Durham, Debbie Hyndman, Charles (Pam) Hyndman; grandchildren, C.J. (Amy), Jonathan (Erin), Courtney (Tony) Norton; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, James (Shirley) Hyndman; sister, Earlene Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wynona; brothers, Wayne and Carl.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Sunday, June 4 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Charles' name are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Echo Meadows Church of Christ. Charles' family would like to thank the staffs at Aspen Grove in Lambertville and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for all of their care and compassion given to Charles and his family.
