Charles T. Jaco
Charles T. Jaco, 80, of Oregon, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 7,
2003l. Mr. Jaco was born on August 7, 1922 to William and Mary (Kidd) Jaco in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. He was a US Marine veteran of World War II where he
fought in the battle of Guadacanal. Charles was employed for the Gulf Oil Company for over 25 years before his retirement in 1976. Mr. Jaco was a member of VFW Post #9816. Charles played fast pitch softball for many years where he pitched in the refinery league. In his later years he was an avid reader and enjoyed watching old MASH reruns on television. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivings are his loving wife, Betty; sons, Michael (Margo), Charles Jr. (Jeanne) and David (Wynna); daughters, Bobbi (Al) Byers, Vicky (Richard) Carroll, Tina Jaco and Mary (Michael) Speweik; sisters Mary Brecht, Emma Donnally and Rose Ann Stenlund;
brothers, William, Rex and Raymond Jaco; 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Doyle Jaco.
Private funeral services will be conducted Monday in the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral
Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Avenue. There will be no visitation.
Intombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Those wishing to make an
expression of sympathy in Charles's memory are asked to consider donations to Fire
Station #3 of the Oregon Fire Department.
