Obituary

Charles Auburn Knott, 86, of Northwood, Oh passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010 in home surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born on February 17, 1924 in Gibsonburg, OH to Jesse and Nellie (Miller) Knott. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and then worked at C & O Railroad for 34 years before retiring in 1979. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Luckey, Ohio as well as the Northwood VFW Post #2984. Charles is survived by his children, Joyce (Charles) Roberts, Judy Wells, Charles (Cathy) Knott, Charlotte (Rodney) Myers, Rebecca (Mitchell) Frazier, and Thomas (Joan) Knott; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, brother and sister in-laws. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Anna Marie (Tracy) Knott; 1 sister and 8 brothers. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Tuesday from 4-8 pm where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 am. Interment will take place in Lake Township Cemetery.
