Charles J. Lloyd, "Jim" 65, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Jim was born on December 26, 1949 in Tiffin, Ohio to Charles W. and Glenice (Owen) Lloyd. He graduated from Genoa High School in 1968. After graduating he joined the United States Air Force as a Jet Engine Mechanic, serving in the Vietnam War. Shortly after, he married the love of his life Sue (Cammarn) on July 18, 1970. Jim worked as a brakeman conductor for CSX and retired as a yardmaster after 43 years in 2010. He also served as President for Local Union 1962. Jim was a true outdoorsman who loved boating, hunting, fishing and taking trips to Cabellas with his wife. Together they also enjoyed traveling out west to Colorado and Reno. He cherished the time he spent with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a great man and will deeply be missed by all who knew him.
Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sue; daughters, Jacki (Bill) Twining, Karyn Phillips, Jamie (Josh) Verbryke; 8 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; brothers, Michael (Vina) Lloyd, and Edward A. Lloyd. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 2:00 pm until the time of memorial service at 5:00 pm with military honors. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Friends of Magee Marsh.
