Charles D. "Skip" McLane Jr., 71, of Toledo, Ohio, died peacefully, Thursday, April 17,2025, at Mercy St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio. Skip was born February 27, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio to Charles and Twila (Nye) McLane. He was a graduate of Woodward High School and married the love of his life, Judy Konz November 20, 1971. Skip enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer; volunteering many years at Bayview Retirees Golf Course in Point Place. For over 20 years, Skip coached football for East Side Central through the East Toledo Junior Football League. Skip loved to fish and spend time with his family.

Skip is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judy; children, Amy DeBaca, Matt (Heather) McLane, and Pat (Lisa) McLane; grandchildren, Steven (Lindsey) DeBaca, Vincent DeBaca, Angel (Will) Mallory, Morgan McLane, Kobie McLane, Timothy McLane, Eithan McLane, Zechariah McLane, Josh McLane, and J.D. DeBaca; great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Emett, Brynlee, Katarina, Axton, Libby, and Evelyn; brother, Rick McLane; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ann Sayen.

A Celebration of Skip's life will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Hope Community Church, 5650 Starr Avenue Extension, Oregon, Ohio.  Expressions of sympathy may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice. Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home assisting the family with arrangements.
