Our family has lost a wonderful Husband, Dad, Papa, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, In-law and Friend.
Charles E Miller, Jr. won his hard fought battle with cancer June 8, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in 1950 to Charles "Chick" Miller, Sr. and Cordella "Corky" Miller (Sigler). He married the love of his life, Rita Scherer in 1973. Together they raised two wonderful daughters.
Chuck was born and raised in Oregon, OH. He was a '68 graduate of Clay High School. He served his country in the Army in Vietnam and Germany, something he was very proud of and often said "If asked, I would do it all again".
He worked for Libbey-Owens-Ford, Rossford for 16 years and retired from Betco Corporation after 29 years in 2015. In retirement, he worked for Menards. He was a life-time member of Arthur Daly American Legion #334, a member of many Dartball teams over the years, most recently with his friends at Latins United and involved in coaching basketball through CYO and Cardinal Stritch HS in the late '90's. Chuck was a fan of the NY Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and U of M, Go Blue!
He was especially proud of his six grandsons. He enjoyed watching them excel in soccer, football, baseball and lacrosse. They were his pride and joy.
Chuck is survived by his wife Rita, daughters Jennifer (Shane) Fredritz and Sara Miller (fiance' Dennis Spearman). Grandsons Noah, Adam and Daniel Fredritz and Caleb, Cooper and Cullen Bradley, and his sister Brynja (John) Eisenhauer.
