Charles Ray Sparks, 73 of Curtice, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at home. Charles was born in Frakes, Kentucky on April 18, 1944 to Ancil and Edna (Wilson) Sparks. Charles worked as a millwright at Nabisco Flour Mill for over 36 years before retiring in 2000. He was also a deacon at Old Fashion Missionary Baptist Church for many years. Charles loved music, enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are his loving wife, of 54 yrs., Rosetta; children, Jeff (Lesley) Sparks, Cindy (Shane) Powell and Kelly (Scott) McDole; grandchildren, Bryce, Tyler, Tristan, Jake, Madison, Alaina, Braydon and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Riley, Gabriel and Paisley; brother, Merle (Willie) Sparks; and many other loving nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury on Sunday, February 25 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, February 26 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Old Fashion Missionary Baptist Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
