Charles E. Tucker "Chuck" of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at age 75 Wednesday, Sept 5, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg surrounded by loved ones. Chuck was born to the late Charles and Mary (Castleman) Tucker in January 1943. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Charles attended Macomber Vocational Technical School and graduated from Woodward High School. Charles retired from Teledyne CAE, after 30 years of service, and was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Over Charles' lifetime, he was an avid golfer, who enjoyed traveling and playing on various golf leagues and courses throughout the United States with his wife. He was a semi-pro bowler and played with a travel volleyball team. Charles loved gardening and sharing the fruit of his labor with others. Most of his final years were spent camping with family and friends at his permanent campsite.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 36 years, Olga; children, Robert Tucker (Cheri), Renee' Fleck (John), Delia Walls (Ted), Kelly Brie; 6 stepdaughters; grandchildren: Shannon, Ashley, Joe, Conrad, Charles, Jansen; 14 blended grandchildren; great grandchildren: Jace, Gabriel, Isabella, Sophia, Cameron James, Cameron Wyatt; and 19 blended love ones. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Edward and Lida Castleman; uncles, Charles and Louis; and grandson, Jason Plodzik.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 2:00 – 8:00 pm. A Scripture Service will be held at 6:00 pm. followed by Sharing of Memories. On Saturday, September 8, 2018, Final Farewell and Visitation will begin at 10:00 am in Epiphany of the Lord Parish – St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 729 White Street, Toledo, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
