Obituary

Charles A. Vollmar, 85, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013. Charlie was born on December 30, 1927 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Seymour and Maxine (Ershick) Vollmar. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Charlie was employed with Libbey-Owens-Ford for 36 years. Charlie was a member of Ashland Church, Oregon, Ohio and Riverside Baptist Church. At Riverside Church he served as a Deacon, Usher, Trustee, and Bus Driver. Charlie is survived by his step-daughters, Diane (Alan) Karoly and Ronda (Paul) Rogers; his brothers and sisters, along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Mary. Also surviving are his adopted daughters; Debra Morrison and Carol Vollmar; step-son Greg Hiller; and many loving family members and friends. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Oregon on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 2:00 pm '" 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider Ashland Church'™s Music Department, 2350 Starr Ave. Oregon, OH 43616.
