Charlotte R. Golightley, 86, formerly of Toledo, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Blakely Care Center, Bowling Green, Ohio. She was born on December 16, 1924 to Munson and Bessie (Shears) Vassar. Charlotte was a loving homemaker and enjoyed bowling. She was a past member of the Eastern Star. Surviving are her children, James (Carol) Doty, Arlene (Larry) Bertok; Debra (Bert) Bayes, Ronald (Janet) Golightley; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sisters, Roberta Vassar, Martha Simpson, Carolyn (Don) Bylow; brother-in-law, Ray Weirauch and sister-in-law, Carolyn Vassar. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas S. Golightley Jr.; sons, Richard and Thomas Golightley III; brothers, Carl, Joel and Lawrence Vassar; sisters, Harriet Weirauch and Miriam Vassar; brother-in-law, Clair Simpson. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Sunday, December 26, 2010 from 1-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Willow Cemetery.
