Charlotte "Nanny" Walkowiak, 65, of Oregon, OH passed away Saturday, April 2, 2005 in her home. Charlotte was born on January 25, 1940 in Logan, West Virginia to Blaine and Sidney (Sutherland) Napier. She was a 1958 graduate of Olney (Northwood) High School. On March 8, 1958 she was married to John Walkowiak. Charlotte and John have lived in Oregon since 1972. She was employed for 20 years by the Henry W. Bergman Company in Genoa, Ohio. Her prior employment included SS Kresge, Singer Sewing Center and the Village of Northwood. Surviving are her sons, John Jr. (Laurie) and Joseph (Cathy) Walkowiak; brothers, Alfred Morgan Napier, Edmund Owen Napier and Ronald Napier; sister, Brookie Crabtree; step-father, Ballard Newsome; grandchildren, Krysta Walkowiak, Tesia (Raymund) Rivera and Joseph Walkowiak Jr.; great granddaughter, Tasia Ida-Mae Rivera. Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 4:30 pm in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. Interment with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
