Chester H. Fry, 87, of East Toledo, passed away May 18, 2004 in Orchard Villa. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 19, 1916 to Joseph E. and Reta Fry. Chester was employed as a welder-pipefitter with Local 50 for 40 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Chaplain for Dad's VFW Post 2984 in Northwood, and enjoyed being a Square Dance Caller for 60 years. Surviving are his loving wife of close to 69 year Isabel "Tuttie"; daughter, Joyce A. (Joseph) Deme, Oregon, OH; son, Lonnie H. (Laurine) Fry, Middleburg, FL; sister, Helen Saunders, FL; 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. Chester was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Karen Fry; parents and 12 brothers and sisters. There will be no visitation and funeral services will be private.
