Chester C. Lawson, 57, of Oregon, OH went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, March 25, 2004. He was born in Whitley County, KY to Troy and Dorothy (Perkins) Lawson on April 7, 1946. Chester was a US Veteran of the Marines. He worked 37 1/2 years for Acklin Stamping-Ice Industries and was a member of the Cathedral of Praise and Lighthouse Ministries. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen E. Lawson and parents. Surviving are his son Calvin(Carrie) and grandson, Zachary M. Lawson; sisters, Alice Fay (Johnny) Jones, Greenwood SC, Rosalie (Gilbert) Woolum, Corbin KY; brother, Billy James (B.J.) Lawson, Oregon, OH and father-in-law, Robert Caris, Oregon, OH. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 10:30 a.m.Interment will follow in Restlawn. Memorial Park.
