Chris J. Bloomfield, 69, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 15, 2022 in Medina, Ohio. Chris was born April 21, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Richard and Jeanne (Czuchbachowski) Bloomfield. He graduated from Lake High School in 1971 and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo. Chris worked for the University of Toledo's Stranahan Arboretum as an arborist. He was a longtime member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Walbridge. His greatest joys were camping with his family, spending time with his grandchildren, and sharing his vast knowledge of trees and the outdoors. Chris is survived by his children, Andy (Amanda) Bloomfield, Anna (Jonathan) Short, and Adam (Casey) Bloomfield; grandchildren, Amelia, Phillip, August, Ezra, Madeleine, Colin, and Ian; sister, Ellen (Jim) Schiavone; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Bloomfield. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road Friday, July 22, 2022 from 10:00 am until funeral service at 1:00 pm.
