Christie M. Mitchell, 39, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 12, 2018 with her family at her side. Christie was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 16, 1978. Christie attended Woodlane School and lived life to the fullest. She loved playing with helium balloons listening to music, watching cartoons, and admiring the wildlife from her bedroom window. Even though Christie never spoke words, she filled the hearts of her family and friends with love and affection. Christie is survived by her siblings Kim (Ernest Lorenc) Mitchell, Jeff Mitchell, Shelly (Greg) Taylor; nephews & nieces, Brandon and Ryan Taylor, Kruiz and Diamond Lorenc, and Jeffrey Mitchell; great-niece, Juliana; uncle, Sherman (Diane) Goney; godmother, Laura Knoblauch; along with many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Mitchell; grandparents, Sherman & Blanche Goney; and godfather, Donald Knoblauch. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
