Christine Annette Schumaker, 64, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 19, 2018. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 28, 1954 to Dale and Mildred (Smith) Thomas. As a child, Christine lived in Martin, Ohio and graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1972. On September 13, 1975, she married the love of her life Donald Schumaker and settled in Curtice, Ohio. Christine worked in medical billing for over 40 years at Mercy Health Partners (Riverside Hospital). Her hobbies included: maintaining the many flowers and trees she grew around her home, watching birds feed in her yard, cooking, and shopping for antiques for her yard and home. Christine loved decorating her home for holidays and cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Christine is survived by her husband of 43 years, Donald; children, Kirk (Elisa) Schumaker, Patrick (Ashley Mayo) Schumaker and Michelle (Greg) McCumber; grandchildren, Clay, Eli, Luciana, Addison, Henry, Lucas, and a grandson on the way; along with many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dale "Skeet" Thomas Jr., and sister, Sandra Schumaker. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 12:00 pm until time of memorial service at 5:00 pm.
