Christopher O. Dobreff, 78, of Toledo, Ohio passed away March 27, 2012 at Parkcliffe Community at Wright Harvey House. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 20, 1933 to Christ and Edna (Bomyea) Dobreff. Chris was a graduate of Waite High School and the University of Toledo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in 1956 & 1957 in a naval hospital as a corpsman. Chris was an elementary teacher in the Bedford school system for over 25 years. He was a big fan of Ohio State, B.G. and Waite. As a hobby, Chris played accordion and the piano. He was a loyal friend to many, and was a very generous and kind-hearted person. He valued his family and friends, and enjoyed being with them. If Chris could speak today, he'™d say 'œwhere can we go to eat?'
Surviving are his sister, Constance E. Dobreff; niece, Kristie (John) Fowler; great niece, Kendra J. Fowler; great nephew, John Christopher Fowler; great great nephew, Juleon Overton; great great nieces, Lily Overton and Violet Kowalka; many relatives from the Bomyea side of the family; also many friends, too many to mention by name. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Christine Dobreff.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Willow Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Parkcliffe Community at Wright Harvey House.
