Christopher Jason Shaffer, 38, of Mesa, AZ and formerly of Toledo, Ohio passed away unexpectedly from a car accident on November 23, 2013. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 2, 1975 to Charles and Mary (Hack) Shaffer. Chris was employed as Director of Finance at Covenant Care. He enjoyed golfing, rafting, hiking, sky diving, bungee jumping and the outdoors. Chris spent many wonderful times serving and entertaining family and friends with good food and good spirits. He was a fountain of energy that never stopped giving of his time and love. Surviving are his loving wife, Lisa; father, Charles Shaffer; mother, Mary Hack-Shaffer; sister and brothers, Julie, Jonathan and Robert Shaffer; grandmother, Mary A. Hack; nephews, Joey, Nathan and Jack; niece, Madison; mother-in-law, Marlene Necastro; his 4 legged children, Bella and Huxley; Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eddie Hack (aka, 'œDumpa') and father-in-law, Ralph Necastro. A memorial service will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on November 27, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Toledo Humane Society.
