Cleo Amanda Kells, 97 a lifelong resident of south Toledo, passed away peacefully
Friday evening in her residence. Cleo was born in Toledo on December 28, 1904 to
Charles L. and Lottie Belle (Blake) Parrish. She is the widow of Harold Kells who
preceded her in death in 1987. Cleo was a telephone operator for Ohio Bell during the late
20s and early 30s. She was a life member of OES Estella Chapter #50.
Cleo is survived by her Godchildren, Gloria Borton and Carolyn Hemsoth; also
survinving are her special friends and neighbors, T.J. Rose, Jack Burch and Pam Bracey.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440
South Coy Road on Monday from 2-9 pm. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at
11:00 am in Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania, Ohio.
