Obituary

Cleon E. Elliott, 89, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Cleon was born in Hammond, Indiana on August 27, 1929 to Earl and Mary (Hirsch) Elliott. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Army Medical Corps from 1951-1952, serving as a medic in Korea. After his medic service he was called "the best baker in Korea". For 36 years, he worked at Libbey Owens Ford in Rossford, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed following the stock market. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nancy (Payden) ; children, Thomas Elliott, Ronald (Eric Johnson) Elliott, Dale Elliott, Diane (Gary) Reihing, and Greg Elliott; grandson, Theodore (Kristen) Elliott; brother, Dorsey Gene (Deborah) Elliott; sisters, Barbara Dombrowski, Marilyn Elliott, Yvonne "Bonnie" Lucio; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William Elliott, Michael Loney, and Daniel Loney; and sister, Judy Graves. Private services will be held. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel.
