Clifford Adamson Sr., 91, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away peacefully Monday, August 22, 2022 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Cliff was born August 1, 1931 in Liverpool England 2nd oldest of eleven siblings to George and Nora (Lewis) Adamson. He served in the Army of the United Kingdom. In 1953, he married the love of his life, Margaret "Peggy" Patterson. In 1957, they immigrated to the United States with their young sons, Cliff Jr. and Peter via ocean liner arriving in New York. The family followed Peggy's sister Agnes to Toledo, Ohio, residing above Scotties City Wide Shoe Service owned by Agnes's husband, Fred. Cliff served his apprenticeship in England as a machinist and worked locally for Lake Local Industries 27 years and retired from Press Equipment at age 77. Cliff & Peggy enjoyed returning to England often to visit family. Cliff is survived by his sons, Cliff Jr. (June), Keith, and Bill; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; along with many loving family members in England. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy; infant son, Wayne; son, Peter; and grandson, Keith Jr. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Monday, August 29, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment: Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
