Obituary

Clifford E. Tauscher, 82, passed away on March 31, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on March 4, 1929 to Jacob and Nellie (Gray) Tauscher. Cliff was an army veteran of the Korean War where he received two purple hearts. He was a member of VFW Post 9963, Disabled American Veterans and Purple Heart Group. Clifford worked as an installer for Baum Gutter Craft for 30 years before retiring in 1988. He was later employed with Continental Secret Service as a security guard until 2008. He enjoyed baseball, NASCAR, and was a fan of Hank Williams. Cliff is survived by his son, Thomas (Judy) Tauscher; daughters, Eleanor (Steve) Mertz, Cynthia (Dave) Dye, Patricia Baum, Carolyn Dixon, Sharon (Larry) McCoy; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Esther (Wilmer) Merrick. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Ethel. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, April 1st from 4:00-9:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday in the funeral home where friends may call after 10:00 am. Private Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville, Ohio. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
