Clyde R. Naugle, Jr., age 83, of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, January 22nd after a brief but serious illness.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William and sister, Raycheal Hoak. Clyde is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bettie Jean (Roth); daughter, Diane (Shawn) Fouch; son, David (Lisa) Naugle; grandchildren, Jennifer Mosler, Stephanie (Patrick) Amrhein, Nathaniel, Zachary, Matthew and Emily Naugle;brothers, Rolland and Gilbert Naugle; and sisters, Anyta Hoak, Elberna Garrett, Norene Monk; along with many nieces and nephews.
Prior to Clyde'™s retirement, he worked for 30 years with the Toledo Department of Public Utilities and the Ann Arbor Railroad. He was custodian and trustee of the former Second Baptist Church and trustee of Cass Road Baptist Church. He was treasurer of the Toledo Area American Baptist Association.
Clyde enjoyed spending his summers at the cottage he and his wife built. He also enjoyed many years of bowling, softball, and as his grandkids would say, 'œGrandpa can fix anything.'
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Cemetery.
