Obituary

Colette A. Settelmeyer, 70, of Perrysburg, OH passed away December 1, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 17, 1938 to Lawrence and Anna (Cunningham) Settelmeyer. Colette was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. She then received her Bachelors and Master degrees from Mary Manse College. Colette was an elementary school teacher for 35 years at Birmingham School. She enjoyed traveling, and traveled the world extensively, both abroad and the 50 states. She was a past president of the Professional Business Womens Association, past school board member at St. Thomas Aquinas and Cardinal Stritch. At Kingston of Perrysburg, Colette was part of the Project Lioness, which makes blankets for abused children.  Surviving are her sisters and brothers, Laura Granata, Jeannette (Ray) Novin, and Mary Margaret (John) Aman, Annmarie (Jessie) McGraw, William (Marilyn) Kitzler, Pat (Don) Kegerreis, Tom (Pat) Kitzler and Michael (David Leary) Kitzler; 21 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Colette was preceded in death by her parents.  Family and friends may visit at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. with a scripture service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday, December 5, 2008 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.   Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Colettes name are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Visitation: Thursday, 2-9 p.m. with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Services: Friday, 10:00 a.m.
