Connie Marie West, 78, of Graytown, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at Mercy St. Anne Hospital, on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Connie was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 21, 1942 to John and Helen (Karpinski) Koszycki. She had graduated from St. Ursula Academy in 1960 and went on to Davis Business College. On October 2, 1965 she married the love of her life, Richard "Dick" West, enjoying 55 years of marriage until his death on March 24, 2021. Over the years Connie had worked at Owens Illinois, People's Savings, St. Boniface Elementary, and St. Benore Agency. Connie was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor. She enjoyed quilting making many quilts and wall hangings to decorate their house and gift to loved ones, making chicken paprikash for family dinners, enjoyed time in the garden caring for her roses and many perennials, becoming a master gardener in 1996. Surviving are her children, Paul (Stacey) West; daughter, Julie (Matt) Reynolds; grandchildren, Samantha (Drew) Young, Allie Reynolds, B.J., Kaleb and Olivia West; and great-grandchildren, Jake and Emma Young. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Friends and family may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville, Rd., Millbury, Ohio, 43447 on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church 215 N. Church St., Oak Harbor, Ohio, 43449 on Monday, May 17, 2021, at 10:00 am. There will be no visitation prior to the Mass. Inurnment will be private at Elliston Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Northwest Ohio Community Tissue Bank.
