Cora A. Cosner, (known by many as Irene) 86, formerly of Toledo, Ohio passed away May 30, 2008, at Heartland of Waterville. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 27, 1921, to Nelson and Zelah (Long) Crookham. Cora graduated from Whitney Vocational High School and was an expert seamstress. Cora had been employed as a molder at Rowe Industries for 20 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Memorial United Church of Christ.
Surviving are her sons, James of St. Clair Shores, MI and Frank Jr. of Deshler; daughter, Sandra Norton of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Adam Norton of Dallas and Frank Donnelly of Deshler; great- grandchildren, Kara, Sarah, and Paxton. Cora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank in 1980 and sister, Dorothy Polinski.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in Cora's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio.
