Obituary

Cora M. Mineff, 83, of Toledo, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 13, 2012 at Heartland of Oregon. She was born in Gomer, Ohio on October 2, 1929 to Walter and Eva (Decker) Shank. Cora was employed as a secretary with Berean Baptist Church and retired as a sales clerk from Woodville Surplus. She was a member of Oregon Church of the Nazarene. Cora was co-founder, along with her husband Chris, of Toledo Open Hearts, sending packages to many Vietnam veterans. Cora will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mom and grandmother and was loved by all who knew her. Surviving are her daughters, Joy (Richard) Jones; Sue (Warren) Friend; brothers, Walter Jr., Alva J., Lowell and Nolan; sisters, Mildred Kistner, Betty Lou Joy and Eva Crawford; grandchildren, Todd (Tracy) Friend, Kelly (Terry) Holmes and Heather Jones; 11 great grandchildren. Cora was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher; brothers, Charles, Lewis, Donald, Donnie Lee and Chester; sisters, Lena Brenneman and Helen Shank. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with interment following in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Lutheran Housing Services Resident Emergency Fund.
