DALE R. BRANDT
Dale's earthly journey came to an end on the 8th day of May, 2003. He passed peacefully from this imperfect to that all perfect and glorious celestial lodge above, to forever reside with his beloved Sandy in that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Dale was born July 28, 1952 to Edna J. (Holman) and T. Dale Brandt in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from Genoa Area High School and worked many years for the former SOHIO (The Standard Oil Co. Ohio). His second career was in contract security. He earned the rank of Sergeant working for Rumpf Security & Pinkerton Security. His friends and co-workers knew his as "Sgt. B". Dale was a member of Genoa Lodge #433 F&AM, serving as Worshipful Master in 1981 (5981 AL). He served as lodge secretary several years. Also, he was a member of the former Gertrude Chapter #219 OES, serving as Worthy Patron in 1982. He was a member of the Toledo Craftsman's Guild with his beloved wife, Sandy. On June 23, 1993, he met his true love and life partner, Sandra M. Shank-Eversole. They were united in marriage on June 21, 1997. Sandy preceded Dale in passing on February 19, 2002. Dale was deeply interested in his family tree and was proud to be the great-great grandson of Mathais Schmidlin (Smithlin), one of the early pioneers of Oregon Township in 1847.
Dale is survived by his mother and father, Edna J. Brandt and T. Dale Brandt of Williston, Ohio, and son, Steven K. Brandt of Fremont, Ohio.
