Dale R. DeLauter, 61, of East Toledo , passed away unexpectedly at Mercy St. Vincent's Hospital on April 16, 2016. He was born on September 6, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio to Raymond and June (Sipe) DeLauter. Dale was a graduate of Waite High School. He had a tireless work ethic which he instilled in his children. Dale had a passion for spending time with family, with an exceptional love for his grandchildren. When he was not working or with family Dale could be found working in his garage, riding his Motorcycle or drinking a cold Busch Light with friends. Dale was an amazing father and grandfather and will be missed by his friends and family. Dale will forever be in the hearts of his surviving family: Children, Jacob Delauter and his wife Hope, Jaime DeLauter, Adam DeLauter, Callie DeLauter and her significant other Nick Hill; grandchildren, Taylor, Bailey, and Easton DeLauter, Kyra Klatt, and Payton Hill; brothers, Dave and Scott DeLauter; sisters, Kimberly Berger, Robin Jordan and Lee Leuck. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Kristine McCarthy-Garber. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Please dress casually to honor Dale's memory. Expressions of sympathy in Dale's name may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
