Dale M. Nelson, 51, of Bethalto, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 in Alton Memorial Hospital, Alton, Illinois. Dale was born in Oregon, Ohio on April 5, 1952 to Melvin and Donna (Snyder) Nelson. Dale graduated from Oregon Clay High School, The University of Toledo and was working on his MBA at Keller University in St. Louis, Missouri majoring in project management. Dale was employed with Benchmark in the 1970's and currently worked as a staff engineer with the Wood River Power Plant of Illinois Power since 1981. He was a naval veteran, member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Toledo, Ohio and the Triangle Fraternity. Surviving are his mother, Donna; brothers, Dennis (Pamela) and Doug (Mary); sister, Dianne (Michael) Lento; several nieces, nephews and aunts. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 23, 2003 at 11:00 am in the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio, where visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 9 pm. Interment will take place in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston, Ohio Memorial services will held on Sunday, July 13, 2003 at Elias-Smith Funeral Home 610 Texas St. Bethalto, Illinois at 2 pm.
