Dan Kennedy Kissling, 71, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Bay Park Hospital.

Dan was born on June 26, 1952, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Charles (Chuck) and Sallyann (Kennedy) Kissling. He was a graduate of Roy C. Start High School, class of 1970. Dan and his loving wife, Diane were together for 52 years. Dan was an Oregon 911 police and fire dispatcher for over 30 years, receiving multiple civilian awards, before retiring in 2018.

Dan had many interests including reading, fishing and camping. Dan was a volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters for over 20 years. He was active boy scout leader, with cub pack 122 and BSA troop 131. He volunteered with Ohio Reads and was an active Clay High School Band parent.

Dan is survived by his wife, Diane (Black) Kissling; son Andrew Kissling; daughter Molly (Kissling) Adkins; grandson Andrew Adkins; sister Mickaleen "Mickki" (Kissling) Skaggs; sister Georgia (Kissling) Goolsby; brother Wilbur "Willie" Kissling, many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will take place at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd Monday, February 19 at 10am followed by memorial service at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dan's name can be directed to Boy Scouts of America or charity of donor's choice.
