Daniel Gene Asbury, 50, of Oregon, OH passed away September 13, 2006 in Flower Hospital. He was born in Toledo, OH on March 4, 1956 to Clyde Jr. and Elizabeth (Kahler) Asbury. Dan was a lifelong resident of Oregon. In the past 20 years Dan had been very active in reforming marijuana laws for medical purposes. He was also an active environmentalist opposed to the expansion of Envirosafe.
Dan is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Sam Brandenburg; father, Clyde of Ft. Meyers, FL; brothers, James and Michael; sisters, Susan, Carol, Candace, Constance and Libby Jane; special nephew, Andy Badas; several other nephews and nieces and special Queen, Scooter. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen and grandparents.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, September 17, 2006 from 2 until 9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11 am. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Dan's name may be made to St. Francis Care Center, 401 N. Broadway St., Green Springs, OH 44836 or a charity of the donor's choice. A special thank you goes out to all the Home Health Aids for their warm and understanding care throughout the years.
