Daniel R. Martin, 53, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Hospice in Perrysburg. Daniel was born in Queens, New York City on February 12, 1962 to John and Margaret (Gleason) Martin. Daniel moved to Toledo in 1985. He worked for Kistler Ford for about 15 years and was currently employed by Fisher Auto Parts and Clean Team for the passed 8 years. Daniel was one of the biggest sports fans of all time. He could tell you anything about sports. He loved his fantasy football and was a big New York Giants fan. This year's baseball season was one of the best for Daniel, as his New York Mets advanced to the World Series. Daniel is survived by his siblings, Mary (Kevin) Wilson, Catherine Martin, Jean Martin and Susan Martin; nieces and nephews, Joan Vogel, Luis Martin, Martino (Joanne) Masiello; and great nephew, Max Masiello. He was preceded in death by his mother; and sister, Louann Martin. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon, Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm. Interment will take place in St. Ignatius Cemetery on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. Those wishing to attend the committal service are asked to arrive at the funeral home at 9:45 am to get into the funeral procession.
