Daniel A. Miller, 68, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016, at his residence. Dan was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 2, 1947 to Ferdinand and Betty (Frazier) Miller. Dan was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On July 26, 1969, he married Sandra Dietrick. For over 40 years, Dan was a pipe fitter with Local 50, retiring from Dunbar Mechanical. Dan loved the game of golf and was a member at Maumee Bay State Park Golf Club. He enjoyed working in his barn and worked as a shop design consultant in recent years. Dan was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and volunteered his time and talents at Clay High School. Dan's true passion was spending time with his family and attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events and activities. Dan is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra; children, Mindy ( Kurt) Snow, Don (Elaine) Miller, Buck (Christina ) Miller, Jake (Emily) Miller, and Marcy (George) Murphy; grandchildren, Alana, Serena, Pete, and Mia Snow, Madeline, Henry, and Theo Miller, Carly, Chloe, and Clayton Miller, Max, Gina, and Charlie Miller and Will and Kane Murphy; siblings, Tom (Sandy) Miller, Ken (Nancy) Miller, Cheri (Dan) Kneisley, Ogie ( Peggy) Miller, and Jeff (Jenny) Miller; sister –in-law, Judy (Nello) Tudico; along with many loving family members and golfing friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Margaret Miller. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, July 11, 2016 from 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 10:15 am with prayers in the funeral home and proceed to St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Road, Oregon, for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Melanoma Research Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
