Daniel E. Schwarz Jr., 92 of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Daniel was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 31, 1921 to Daniel and Bessie (Kurtz) Schwarz Sr. Daniel was a US Army Veteran of World War II. On October 4, 1944, he married Annabell Troutman. Dan was a custodian at Glenwood School for 20 years and a freight handler for REA Express for 25 years. His memberships included St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Przybylski American Legion Post #642 and the Eagles. Dan is survived by his wife of 69 years, Annabell; children, Vicky (Richard) Cubberly and Christian (Cathleen) Schwarz; grandchildren, Kevin (Kathy) Cubberly, Amy Yeager, Christin (Kevin) Rogalski and Ryan Schwarz; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Grace Cubberly and Danny and Devin Yeager. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jean Friend. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 11:00 am in St. Lukes Lutheran Church, 20 S. Yondota Road, Curtice, Ohio. Private graveside services will be held at Toledo Memorial Park.
