Daniel F. Szymanski II, 63, of Toledo, Ohio passed away November 8 2011 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 16, 1948 to Daniel F. Sr. and Ruth (Rimer) Szymanski. Dan was employed as a security guard at the O.I. Building, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and gambling, especially at Greektown. Surviving are his sister, Rita Allen, Toledo; brothers, Joseph, Oregon, OH and Patrick, Toledo, OH; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Gerald. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 8 pm in the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in Dan'™s memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
