Daniel A. Wagner, 78, of Toledo passed away April 1, 2009 in his home with his family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 16, 1931 to Daniel and Irene (Krompak) Szekeres. Dan was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and had been employed at Doehler Jarvis as a first inspector. He was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Dan was also a Chevron member of the VFW Post 4906. He coached Little League Baseball, and enjoyed all sports and reading.
Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Ann; children, Denise (Paul) Noel, Dan (Colleen) Szekeres, Mark Szekeres, Kevin Wagner, Michele Wagner and Kelly (Greg) Haas; 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Dan was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Irene Katona and brother, Richard Wagner.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2018 Consaul St. on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Expressions of sympathy in Dan's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the charity of the donor's choice. Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
