Daniel L. Warner, 82, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Daniel was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 27, 1930 to Lorenzo and Norene (Schudell) Warner. On March 3, 1951, he married Joretta Belle Poston. Daniel was a US Army veteran of the Korean War era where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper. For 30 years, Daniel was employed with Libbey Owens Ford as a stationary engineer, retiring in 1982. Daniel was a member of the Jerusalem Township Recreation Association and also served as Jerusalem Township Zoning Inspector for many years. He later served as president of the Howard Farms Conservancy District. Daniel was an avid woodworker and enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie. Daniel is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joretta; sons, Gerald (Bev) Warner and Robert (Karen) Warner; grandchildren, Josh (Beth) Warner, Andrea (Mike) Coughlin, Matt (Megan) Warner, Tracey Malik, Craig (Andrea) Brochu, Katie (Corey) Zachel, Jeff (Angie) Reif, and Cassie Warner; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty (Jack) Ferree. Daniel is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Hazel (Ralph) White, Shirley (John) DeStazio, and Dollie (Lee) Geisinger. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Daniel'™s life Monday, February 25, 2013 from 2:00 pm '" 8:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church, 2140 W. Toledo Street, Williston, Ohio.
