Danny L. Harris, 64 of Curtice, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo, OH, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Oregon, OH, on August 6, 1945, to Oscar and Hilda (Pederson) Harris. Danny was a commercial fisherman for most of his life working with his father at Harris fisheries. He was also an Operating Engineer and Boilermaker working out of Locals #18 and #85, retiring in 2008 from the Ironworkers Local #55. He enjoyed fishing and traveling in his spare time. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Ilona; children, Kimberly (Billy), Trudy (Ross), Michael (Debbie) and Larry (Jodi); step-children, Craig (Sue), Jeffrey, Scott (Tina) and Kevin Brubaker; siblings, Linda Kosch, Wayne, Glenn (Diane), Gerald (Carol), Marvin, Ellen (Ed) Mckenzie; 18 grand children and 6 great grandchildren. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ervin. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-8 pm in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 am. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
