David A. Fischer, 70, of Erie, Michigan, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 2, 1954 to Raymond and Lucile (Collins) Fischer. He graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School and shortly after would marry the love of his life, Handrea (Gomez) on August 16, 1975. David worked as a Millwright for local #1090 before his retirement. He was extremely proud of his job and the brotherhood that came along with it. In his earlier years he enjoyed fishing with his sons and that passion of family carried on as Dave moved to grandpa/papa. That was one of his greatest joys in his life. He was very involved in the Catholic Church at Good Shephard where he and his wife were active in the PreCana Group. Dave was more of a simple man, but his faith and family were the pillars of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Handrea; sons, Joe (Jackie) Fischer, Tony (Kelly) Fischer, Ray Fischer; grandchildren, Bo, Joe, Maranda, Sam, Charlotte, Amelia, Emmy, Izaak, Nekko, Linkoln, Aubrielle; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Beth (Tommy) Decker, Julie Fischer; nieces, Angie Swan, Lisa Hundey; and nephew, Scott Swan. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Jeff Decker.

Family and friends may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Rd., in Oregon, OH, on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Mary and Jeanine for the compassionate care they provided to their loved one.
