David Gloria, 60, of East Toledo, Ohio, passed away May 24, 2023 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital after a courageous battle with stage 4 cancer. David was born in Oregon, Ohio on September 15, 1962 to Luis Gloria and Carol (Naparstek) Lee. He was a 1981 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School and continued his education becoming an electrician for IBEW Local 8, retiring after 40 years of service. David was a member of AA and the Latino Labor Council. He enjoyed skateboarding and all things audio, even DJing in his spare time. David had a special bond with his dog, Chunky Monkey, who was always by his side. Left to forever cherish his memory are his sons, David (Samantha) and Matthew Gloria; granddaughter, Ava Gloria; four-legged companion, Chunky Monkey; special friend, Kim Tyra; and siblings, Mark, Nick, Lou (Jill), and Lisa; and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, Luis Gloria and Carol Lee.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Friday, June 9, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. where a Memorial Service celebrating David's life will begin at 7:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family.
