David E. Hohenbrink, 79, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 9, 1944 to Edmund and Laura (Faulkner) Hohenbrink. David was a 1962 graduate of Macomber High School, and during his senior year he worked for Carl Schmidt Chevrolet in Perrysburg where he continued with them full time after graduation. He and his father were co-owners of Dave & Ed's Union 76 Station in Perrysburg, Ohio.

David retired many years later from Mitch's Welding in Maumee, Ohio. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, the outdoors and casino trips.

Left to forever cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Janice; children, Alan (Marina) Hohenbrink, Daniel Hohenbrink, and Vicki (Brad) Fisher; grandchildren, Julie Henderson and Dmitri "Dima" Hohenbrink; step-grandson Austin Fisher; great-granddaughter, Maci Magrum; and many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Evelyn (Ted) Stewart, Patricia (Phil) Huffman, Kathleen (Harry) Elkington, and Sharon (Merle) Rosenberger, and nephew Teddy Stewart.

Family and friends may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 2:00- 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in David's name may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
