David Lewandowski, 70 yrs, of Cape Coral , Florida and formerly of Northwood , Ohio passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 in Cape Coral . He was born on July 24, 1940 in Toledo , Ohio to William and Sophie (Nowak) Lewandowski. David worked as a Pipe Fitter for the Chrysler Machining Plant, Perrysburg , Ohio , retiring in 2000 after 30 years of service. He was a lifetime member of Riverview Yacht Club ( Toledo ), Past Member of Harbor View Yacht Club and a Member of the Loyal Order of Moose ( Pine Island , FL ). Dave enjoyed boating, golfing, fishing and remodeling. He was known to all as "Remodel Dave" in Florida . Surviving are his wife, Barbara; children Timothy Lewandowski, Mark (Julie) Owczarzak, Jane ( Bryan ) Clausius, Gary ( Erin ) Owczarzak, and Allen Owczarzak; grandchildren Austin, Douglas, Kayla, Stephen and Alex; sister Charlotte (Charles) Rapp; and his Best Bud Bill Arnold. His parents and sister Carol Smith preceded him in death. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Tuesday from 2-8 pm and where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Dave's memory are asked to consider a charity of the donor's choice.
