David J. Luoma, 82, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Promedica Toledo Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born in Wakefield, Michigan on May 28, 1942 to Toivo and Mildred (Pikka) Luoma. He graduated from Rogers City High School and would go on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army, stationed in Alaska. He would later marry the love of his life, Joanne (Gladieux) on October 28, 1967 and together they would make many lasting memories, especially their trips to Las Vegas. Dave worked for Graybar Electric as a salesman for 35 years, retiring in 1999. He was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church before its closing and then became a member at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Dave had many cherished memories, from attending the Masters with his son and grandsons in 2019 to going on the Honor Flight this past November. He absolutely loved attending his children and grandchildren's sporting events as well, but what he cherished most was his loving family.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joanne, children, Laurie (Kenneth) Mahler, Susan (Troy) Montenery, Jeffrey (Katherine) Luoma; grandchildren, Jenna (Robby) Edwards, Lauren Mahler, Jaret and Luke Montenery, Justin and Ben Luoma; sister, Justine Holmes, brother, Phillip Holmes; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard; and step-father, Willis Lawrence.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The family will also greet friends on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner St., Walbridge, Ohio, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Dave's name may be directed to Flag City Honor Flight. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and doctors at Promedica Toledo Hospital for their compassionate care.
